Dead Man's Bones

This past holiday weekend we Angelino's were treated to an amazing music fest in the form of: FYF which is a one day musical fest that a friend of mine has been quietly putting on for the past few years. This year there was nothing quiet about it. The line up was stellar and included Panda Bear, Ariel Pink, Sleep, The Rapture, !!!, Delorean, & School of Seven Bells, just to name a few....

The fest also included relative new comers Dead Man's Bones which may be better known as "Ryan Gosling's Band" but should really just be known as "a really great band". Although an actor fronted indie band featuring a choir of zombie children seems too gimmicky to possibly be any good, it is actually so well thought out and executed that it verges on fail proof.

Of course the fact that the group is comprised of two very handsome men with wonderful singing voices doesn't hurt either. Check out some photos I managed to take when I wasn't busy drooling:
